It saves a round trip if you tell us your phone model and the app version, which is at the very bottom of Settings.

I changed phones and my cats are gone

Your cats live on the device unless you sign in. If you signed in with Google before, sign in with the same account on the new phone and everything comes back — profiles, photos, results. If you never signed in, the data only ever existed on the old phone and we cannot recover it: we never had a copy. That is the trade the app makes for not requiring an account.

I subscribed but Feline Five+ isn't showing

Open Settings → Restore purchases. The app tells you what it found: an active subscription comes straight back, and if the subscription has ended it says so rather than pretending you never bought anything. Check that the phone is signed in to the same Google account that made the purchase.

How do I cancel Feline Five+?

Subscriptions belong to Google Play, not to us: Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal, and you keep Plus until the period you already paid for runs out. Deleting your Meowsona account does not cancel a subscription — the two are held in different places.

What is the difference between a report unlock and Feline Five+?

A report unlock is a one-time purchase that opens the full report for one cat. Feline Five+ is a subscription covering every cat you add, along with the daily activities, the behaviour translator, the guided programmes and the Welfare Radar.

My daily reminder never arrives

Android holds back reminders from apps it hasn't seen in a while, sometimes for an hour or more. In Settings, switch the daily reminder off and on again — the app will ask for the "Alarms & reminders" permission. Granting it lets the reminder arrive at the minute you chose instead of whenever the system gets round to it.

Is the result a diagnosis?

No. Meowsona is built on the Feline Five, a peer-reviewed personality model (Litchfield et al., 2017, PLOS ONE, 2,802 cats). It describes temperament and suggests enrichment to try. It does not detect illness and does not replace a vet. If anything about your cat's behaviour or health worries you, see a vet.

Refunds

Purchases go through Google Play, so refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. If something went wrong on our side, write to us and we will help you sort it out with the store.

Deleting your account

See Delete your account. It takes effect immediately, and it is not the same thing as cancelling a subscription.

Privacy

The short version: you can use the whole app without an account, and nothing leaves your device unless you choose to sign in. The long version is in our Privacy Policy.
