Privacy Policy

Meowsona is made by Coocosh. The short version: you can use the whole app without an account, and nothing about your cats leaves your device unless you choose to sign in. We never sell your data, show ads, or track you.

Using Meowsona without an account

No sign-up is required. Your cats' names, photos, ages, quiz answers and results are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and we cannot see them. If you delete a cat — or uninstall the app — that data is gone.

If you choose to sign in with Google

Signing in is optional and exists for one reason: so you don't lose your cats when you change phones. If you sign in, we create an account for you and back up the following to our own servers, operated by Coocosh:

• your email address and a user identifier, from your Google account;
• your cat profiles — name, age range and sex;
• your cat photos;
• your quiz results and personality scores;
• which reports you have unlocked, and whether Feline Five+ is active.

This is what lets you restore everything on a new device. Sign-in itself is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google), which processes your Google account identifier on our behalf. You can use every feature of the app without ever signing in.

What we never do

• No ads and no ad networks.
• No third-party trackers or advertising analytics.
• No selling or sharing of personal data. Ever.
• No account required to use the app.

Content we fetch

To keep activities, translations, and welfare content fresh, the app requests published content from our servers. These are anonymous requests for content — they carry no information about you or your cats.

Purchases

One-time report unlocks and the Feline Five+ subscription are handled by Google Play. We never see your card details. Purchase and subscription records are managed by the store under its own privacy policy. If you are signed in, we store only whether an unlock or subscription is active on your account.

Notifications

If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off any time in the app or in your phone's settings.

Where your data is held

Backed-up data is stored on servers operated by Coocosh and is always transmitted over an encrypted connection. We keep it for as long as your account exists.

Children

Meowsona is a general-audience app about cats and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices and your rights

You are always in control. Delete a cat, delete all data, or uninstall the app to remove everything from your device. If you have signed in and want your account and its backed-up data permanently deleted from our servers, use Settings → Account & backup → Delete account and all data. If you no longer have the app installed, see Delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
